{Game Rules}
Design an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) with a cost less than RM1000. The AUV system should be able to navigate a water channel at a depth of 1.5m for a distance of 40m while carrying a 4 kg load without crashing to the bottom of the water column more than 3 times. The path is a straight line. The AUV system that completes the task in the fastest time will win the competition.
{How to join?}
Submit a proposal (free format) by 31st March 2014. The proposal must have brief description of AUV system and estimated costing.
Final list of participants will be announced by 30th April 2014. The final list will be made public via the social media.
{Venue}
The competition will be organized in 2014 in USM Main Campus.
{Who can join?}
This is an open competition open to all engineers, researchers or the general public.
{Prize}
The winners are for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place only!
More information will be announced soon!

Together We Have the Power to Protect the Ocean
The 6th National Technical Seminar on Underwater System Technology (NUSYS'13) will be held in conjunction with the celebration of World Oceans Week (WOW’13) which starts from 3rd to 11th June 2013.
Objectives:
1. To provide an opportunity for sharing of knowledge and experience among researcher and industry players
2. To promote motivation and enculturation of Science and Technologies (STI) activities
3. To act as catalyst for advancing underwater research and acquiring state-of-the-art technology
4. To enhance networking among institutions, agencies and industries involved
There are four technical talks and an open discussion in various aspects of underwater system technology. This event is held in conjunction with the Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle Competition 2013 (UROVeC'13) among the youth during the World Ocean Week Celebration (WOW'13).
